It's all about Leah...

Monday
It is 1:25pm. Leah is downstairs screaming about something. Nathan is behind me making noise. Hannah is trying to figure out what is wrong with Leah. I have finally made it home from WalMart, the kiddie thrift shop, and Subway (for gift cards). The thank you notes for our move have been addressed, sealed and tossed into the mail. I paid a bill, listened to a voicemail and made a list of phone calls to do this afternoon. The handyman is coming in an hour or so to fix a handful of things around the house.
I'm tired. I made Hannah do her piano practice, but we haven't done any school yet today. We are supposed to review money today in math.
Only 2 weeks left until baby, assuming I don't go over. Which I probably will. I have a Dr appt Thurs am, so we'll see if anything is happening yet.
Bear with me. I'm thinking my postings are going to get real sporadic.

Two weeks till the move...
Well, here we are two weeks out. We have a rental lined up, but it's really, really, really small (1050 square feet). So we continue the hunt for a rental in hopes of finding one that is bigger. I don't mind small for short term, but since we really have no idea of how long we will need to rent, I would prefer something bigger. Hoping to find something at least 1200 square feet. Going to look at one tonight, and have calls in on 2 others.
Little Leah had her doctor appt this morning. All is well. She's 50% for head size and height, but only 5% for weight. Given that her older sister is super tall and super skinny, the Dr was not concerned. Leah is actually shorter than Hannah was. Hannie was usually 5 - 10% for weight and 80-90% for height.
Everyone is recovered from their colds over the past 2 weeks. Today we will do a reduced school day, and try to get the usual 2-3 boxes packed. Packing is getting a bit harder now. I have to give serious thought to what can be packed and what we are going to need. Convienence vs. economy.
Well, that's all for now. If anything exciting happens, I'll let you know here. Same Bat time, same Bat channel.

Sigh...
Baby Leah is sick. She's sneezing snot all over the place. Blech! I'm feeling lethargic and on the verge of tears today, so I figure she shared her cold with me. Nice.
My menu this past week went well. I'm going through my pantry stock. I'm beginning to see the shelves.
This week I'm going to have to be more creative. I'm budgeting $40 for the week's groceries, mostly to be used on dairy, produce, and a couple essential items like sugar and some spices I've run out of. I'll post the menu on Monday, I think. I think I'll have to do a big batch of chili to get through the week - that should last 2 dinners and 2 lunches. Perhaps some cabbage rolls, then back to creative uses of chicken. And probably 1 vegetarian meal.
Anybody else out there using up stuff?
