Oopsie...

I can't believe that I haven't posted since July.  Ridiculous.

It's been pretty busy around here. Somehow I over scheduled life in September and it was a very hectic and trying month.  Things are settled a bit now, and I have been trying to be diligent in getting us caught up and on track with school.

Small vent:  when you have 5 (6) children, Dr appts become an annoyance.  It seems that there is some sort of appt for someone nearly every week.  Check ups, OB appts for me, dental appts, eye appts (me again), etc.  Grrrrr!!!

So, what's new....hmmm.  I see I haven't posted any new baby info, so we'll start there.  We are having another boy this time!  This will give us a matched set: 3 of each! Our due date (or dude date, as one of my littles likes to say) is Jan 24th.  So I have about 14 weeks to go.  I'll try to remember to post a poll in a few weeks on our baby name possibilities.

All is well with the pregnancy.  I am healthy, eating well, baby is very active.  Just coming into the uncomfortable phase.  I will be 41 when I deliver this baby, and I am feeling my age this time.  I tire so much more quickly, after having done very little.  I'm getting frustrated with myself. I am thankful that I have been diligent with training the children with various household tasks.  Most of what needs to be done, they can do.  Not perfectly, but as the Fly Lady says "Anything accomplished still blesses your house."   Or something like that...

I was trying to encourage myself and listing all the things that the children can do around here (if someone stands over them, of course):
  • clean bathrooms
  • dishes
  • empty trash
  • laundry (but not whites.  Yet.)
  • sweep & mop (this one makes my brain itch, so I try not to watch)
  • rake leaves in the yard
  • vacuum
Really, the only thing that I will have to keep up on is cooking.  Still, I usually have someone in the kitchen helping, so perhaps at least one of them will be able to prepare simple meals by the end of January.

God bless you! I am 47 and when I watch my 5 month old nephew I get exhausted. The energy I had 18 years ago with my baby isn't quite the same. That is awesome that you have some helpers. Keep feeling good! Thanks for visiting my blog. And btw - the orange yarn was made from dyeing it in Kool Aide. Imagine what it does to your insides?
