Thursday evening...

No baby yet. Just wanted to get that out of the way...

As most of you know, we have been looking to buy a house for over a year now. As we have bid on various houses, most of them want pre-approvals with specific lenders. So I keep a big stack of paperwork with all our important documents - W2's, bank statements, check stubs, the note to grandma's house, etc. It makes faxing all the docs easier to whomever we have to send them to.

I lost the stack.

Spent a frantic afternoon near meltdown trying to find it. Ok, it was an actual meltdown. I spent 20 minutes or so sitting on the floor in my kitchen sobbing like a baby, rocking back and forth. I have checked every drawer, every cabinet, every closet, the bookshelves, the armoire, behind stuff, under furniture, my van, everywhere. I can't find it.

This is burdensome on several levels. One, I have important documents floating around somewhere. Two, I need these documents ASAP to get a loan funded for a house we bid on last week. Three, I am furious with myself that I managed to lose something so important. Four, my husband cannot understand how I managed to lose something so important. Five, I'm due to have a baby any second now and I do not have time for this. Six, the sense of powerlessness I feel is A Heavy Burden. What do you do when it simply cannot be found?

Most of the documents only have my husbands name on them, which means that I cannot request new stuff, he has to do it. He announced awhile ago that he's not making those phone calls, I'll just have to find my stack. Again, what do you do when it simply cannot be found?

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all this at the end of your pregnancy. I'm hoping the baby comes soon for you! I'm waiting every day to hear the news.

I am so sorry Tyna!!! I hope that you will find it quickly. I will be praying for you. God cares when we lose things -- even one of the parables in the Bible is about a woman who lost a coin that was important and valuable to her. I will be praying and waiting to hear that (1 you found your papers and 2) that baby Olivia has made her arrival. Love you my friend! Dria

Give me a day or two to think of some ideas on your son's party. If I come up with anything, I'll either comment on your blog again or write about it in a post. Okay!! Sounds super fun!!!
