In which Michael makes a decision...

On our trip to Monterey, Michael had an epiphany.

You see, my dearly beloved leaves our warm, cozy home before the children rise, and he comes home in the early evening when they are worn out and in the process of winding down. On weekends, he normally must spend several hours cloistered in his office working, or perhaps called away for several hours to shoot pictures. And on Sunday, we go to church all morning, where everyone must be quiet and calm.

And so he rarely must experience being 'with' 3 healthy, active children for longer than a few hours at a time.

And with this trip, he experienced children 24/7 for 4 days straight.

He has decided that he does NOT want to be a stay at home mom when he grows up.
