Update on Nani

Nani Helen is doing much better. She has been moved to Acute Rehab. She's started physical, occupational and speech therapy.

They gave her a steroid shot in the shoulder last week and that cleared up most of the pain. Now her pain level is consistent with the arthritis diagnosis. She still doesn't have full range of motion in the right arm, but it's much better.

She has some short term memory problems, and she probably won't ever walk much more than across the room again, but we are thankful for even that. The rehab goal is to get her to be able to tend to her own physical needs (using the toilet, taking a shower, etc) without help.

So far she is doing well and there is talk about releasing her sometime around Mother's Day!
