Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These were soooooooo good!

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp milk
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips

1. Heat oven to 350. In med bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and oats.
2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until well blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then the vanilla and milk. With spoon or spatula, blend in the flour mixture, and then the chocolate chips.
3. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes on the middle rack, then rotate each pan and bake for 2 more minutes or until golden. Cool pans on wire racks for 5 minutes before removing cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 4 dozen. Enjoy!!!
