Yesterday...

Ok, remember the stressful trip to WalMart I mentioned yesterday? It WAS stressful. It was going alright, actually, until Mighty Man pushed on an emergency exit door and set the alarm off. Have you ever just wanted to melt into the floor? Thankfully, a WalMart employee came by quickly and turned it off. She at least seemed to be amused. Yikes.

The children beg to see the fish every time we go to WalMart. I figure I can buy a bowl, rocks, nifty plant/rock hiding thingy, food, and 5 of those Neon Tetra fishies for about $20. Honey, are you reading this? What do you think? For Pete's sake, our daughter is drawing frogs and turtles and cutting them out to be her 'pets'. There are paper animals all over the house. It's making me nutty that I can't throw away all these scraps of paper lying around!

Anyhoo. According to a Yahoo link I saw yesterday, the most popular color for cars in 2007 was white. WHITE?!?!?! Are you kidding me? How boring, colorless and drab is that? Silver won for 7 years in a row, but got bumped for WHITE?!?! Pathetic. If I were Queen of the Universe, the most popular color would be orange. You know, that fantastic color that Chevy uses so much lately? I looked it up on their website and it’s called Sunburst Orange II Metallic. How cool is that?! I would so totally buy a car based solely on it’s color…

So we totally got another blessing. Our van had been starting a bit hard, so Michael thought it might be the battery. I took it in to our nearest friendly Sears guy and yup, it was the battery. BUT! It was still under warranty so they replaced it FREE! Our God is GOOD!

I read the same article. And I agree with you...white seems like a boring color for people to buy by choice. I say that because our USED van is white. But if I had a choice that orange is sounding better and better...

My 6 year old draws pets all the time. And pet friends for her pets. And parent pets. It goes on an on. Just make sure that when you buy the bowl and rocks and fish that you talk to the kiddies about what fish need to live. My niece slept with her fish because she didn't want it to be cold. It didn't end well. :)

Instead of tetras, get a Beta. They are so easy to care for but I wouldn't get it at WalMart because it would probably die within a few weeks. All you need to do is clean the bowl once a week and feed it. Very easy. We have had two of them. Logan has been begging for another one for a while now. Or, just give Michael a choice: cat...or fish?

Differences in car color-preferences are funny... seeing that I wouldn't be caught dead in an orange car. :-P When I first got my little car, it seemed quite out of place to have a non-white, non-Ford vehicle parked at our house! I would happily morph it into a white Ford if I had the opportunity... but no complaints about God's provision! I'm thankful for my little car that keeps on going as long as I feed it enough gas! ;-)

I've never had a white car. I have had a silvery blue Taurus. I didn't like it too much. Couldn't use the air. The engine would shut off if I did. I don't think that had to do with the color though.
