This morning at 7am, he swept and mopped the floors in the house, and threw in a load of laundry. Then he vacuumed. Then he took apart my vacuum and washed it. In the sink, with hot water and stuff. Then he made me pull all of my hair out of the sweeper brush. So now my vacuum is shiny clean.
It's only 8:30am, and he's making me tired. But my house is sure is clean!
Mommy. Wife. Daughter of the King. My thoughts, and sometimes just a place to think 'out loud'.

In which Michael makes a decision...
On our trip to Monterey, Michael had an epiphany.
You see, my dearly beloved leaves our warm, cozy home before the children rise, and he comes home in the early evening when they are worn out and in the process of winding down. On weekends, he normally must spend several hours cloistered in his office working, or perhaps called away for several hours to shoot pictures. And on Sunday, we go to church all morning, where everyone must be quiet and calm.
And so he rarely must experience being 'with' 3 healthy, active children for longer than a few hours at a time.
And with this trip, he experienced children 24/7 for 4 days straight.
He has decided that he does NOT want to be a stay at home mom when he grows up.

Ode to Michael
Today is hubbys 45th birthday. He says he feels old, but boy he sure doesn't look it! Let me tell you about my man:
1) He's funny! Seems like the two of us are forever snickering about some private joke or memory.
2) He's handsome! Really, can you look into those hazel eyes and not get all weak-kneed?
3) He's an incredibly hard worker. Boy, he sure can hustle! He's worked 3 jobs forever, and he's forever thinking of how to be more efficient, and squeeze more stuff into less time.
4) He reads the Bible to the children every night. That one alone makes my heart go pitter patter!
5) He indulges my needle-work habit, even though he thinks it's a waste of time and effort. Really now, would you want to get a cross-stitched bookmark for Christmas?
6) He always tells me not to worry about getting the garbage cans out to the curb. But I always do it anyway because I feel guilty about point # 3 above...
7) He always eats the meals I prepare. Even when I try a new recipie that says "Even Your Kids Will Love It!", and it's actually horrible and my imaginary dog wouldn't eat it.
8) He lets Hannah give him facials.
9) He wrestles with Nathan almost every day.
10) Leah thinks he's a really good snuggler!
He's the bestest hubby ever! I love you Michael!!!

Had my ultrasound today...
It's a girl!!!!! I knew it. Dontcha just love when you are validated?
Hannah is of course delighted. Nathan said "OK' and ran off. Haven't told Michael. I want to see if he actually reads my blog...(grin!).
The tech lady says baby has very long legs. And weighs 11 ounces. The heart is beating just fine - 147 bpm. Saw 2 little kidneys and a brain (that's a good thing, in case you didn't know). I got a good pic of the baby's profile - she has my nose!! Which I got from my Nani Helen. It's a very nice nose. Smallish, but well rounded. One can go far in life when they have a good sniffer.
Now begins the "Let's name her Leah" campaign...When I asked Michael if he liked the name, he said "Yeah, it's good." Which means he doesn't give a darn. He normally waits a week or two before the due date before thinking about names. Something about pressure energizes him. But that's okay. After all, he did come up with perfectly wonderful names for the first 2 kidlets. It's just not my style, you know?
So anyway, rejoice with me! I got my wish for another precious little girl!
