Of Birthdays and Babies

We celebrated Nathan's 7th birthday last week. What a big, manly creature he is becoming. I made him a dinosaur shaped cake, which he requested be colored orange. Oookaaay, orange it was.
Here are a couple pictures of Josiah. The one on the bottom was taken a couple days ago. Isn't he getting cute?! Leah and Olivia often fight over who gets to hold him. Sitting together in the recliner seems to settle the argument.

Hannah's birthday is next week. She wants cheesecake and to get horse riding lessons. Oh, how she is turning into such a young lady!

Announcing Josiah Patrick!

Josiah Patrick was born 2/29/12 at 6:49am. He was the 9th baby born in our hospital that morning! Josiah weighed 8lbs, 3oz, and was 20.5 inches long.

Labor was about 8 hours, delivery was relatively easy - only 2 pushes! He looks a lot like his daddy!

He had a high biliruben count, so we had several heel sticks over the last week, and had to have him on an ultraviolet light for a few days. But that's all worked out now.

He's still in the sleepy newborn phase at only a week old. I don't actually get to hold him much. The other children fight a lot over who gets to hold him next, and how many times one child has got to hold him vs. another child.
