I Did It!

As most of you know, I began working towards 'losing the baby weight' in September 2010 (baby was 6 months old). I weighed 142. After 2 months of exercising whenever I could for about 20 minutes a pop, I had lost a total of 1 pound.

Yay.

I decided that something needed to change. I have 4 small children, and exercising for 20 minutes at a time whenever I could was not enough. So I kept the exersize part, and changed the diet.

I decided to eat only raw food from rising in the morning until dinner time. Then I would have a 'regular' dinner with the family (making a separate meal for me was too hard on the willpower). I eat fruit, raw nuts, veggie/fruit smoothies, and dried fruit for most of the day. I eat as much as I want, as often as I like. I have 2 rules: I must wait to eat until I am actually hungry, and and then it must be raw. I occasionally have a fried or boiled egg in the morning, maybe once a week.

My goal was to be 'pre-pregnancy weight' (132 lbs) by my birthday (1/14). On the morning of my birthday, I weighed 133. In 2 1/2 months, I lost 8 pounds. I lost that last pound this week. I weighed in at 132 this morning. Have you ever hefted a 10lb bag of potatoes? It's chunk of weight!

Yes, I did a little victory dance!

I think I'm going to keep it up. I'm not really looking to lose any more weight, but I feel good, the eating method is easy. I'm curious to see what my body will plateau at. At some point, the weight loss will stop, which is my body's way of saying 'This is what you're supposed to weigh. If you want to weigh less, you'll have to work a lot harder.'

And as you know, I don't like to work harder. So I figure I'll lose another 3-5 pounds before I hit that plateau. Being less than 130lbs will make me very happy.
