This weekend

We went away to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. We rented a tiny little cabin in S. Lake Tahoe and had such a good time. It was in this little, heavily wooded subdivision of cabins - each one unique. Some old and ugly, some big, some small, some miniscule, some gingerbready, some I'M A REAL CABIN-ish, some boring, etc.

Ours was kinda plain on the outside, but still had nice trees in the front and a fenced back yard. Inside it was delightful! Beautiful wood paneling everywhere. 2 bed, 1 bath, gas fireplace, fully appointed kitchen. All we had to bring was food and clothes. EVERYTHING else was provided - sheets, towels, a playpen, a highchair, utensils, dishes, pots, tea/coffee, even down to a bottle of olive oil! If anyone wants a recomendation on a vacation rental, let me know!

And it was within a 8 minute walk to the lake, Safeway and the library. 10 minute drive to the Heavenly Ski Life Gondola (that was an amazing ride).

Sigh...we have to do that again. Today, was re-coup day: 2 loads of laundry, first day of art class, a Dr appt, StuffMart trip. And Mighty Man lost his precious Sae Seeteen and we spent forever looking for it (no luck).

We did manage to pick up a bad pacifier habit over the weekend though. Punky Bunkins was fussy with a new house, new bed, etc, so we just let her keep her paci. Now that we're home, the normal 'only when sleeping' rule is not making her happy. Whiny, fussy girl.

That house sounds heavenly! We stayed at a super-nice house on the North shore for our honeymoon. There's no way we could afford that place again (our honeymoon stay there was a gift), but the place you stayed sounds fabulous!
